Meet Coach Nick
Nick D’Errico has been a goaltending coach for nearly 15 years, first starting with the Allston-Brighton Flyers in the Boston area before becoming goaltending director with the Central Mass Revolution (formerly Starhawks Youth Hockey).
In 10 years with the Revs, he has built up a grassroots program from scratch and alleviated the common goaltending shortage seen across many community organizations. Those who try goalie with Coach Nick can’t wait to get back on the ice.
Nick is also the Head Coach of Mount St. Charles Academy’s Varsity 2 and JV teams, is a Goaltending Development Coordinator for Massachusetts Hockey, and holds a Level 4 and Gold-level goaltending CEP with USA Hockey. He lives in Mendon, MA, with his wife, son, and two dogs.
Our Mission
- To make goaltending development more accessible for those who want to play.
- To elevate the quality of coaching through education and support resources.
- To ignite a deep passion for goaltending and hockey in every participant.
- To foster core life skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, and work ethic, through sport.
- To build lifelong bonds and support networks among the goaltending community.
Coaching Philosophy
While most athletes won’t become pros, every athlete deserves to develop to their fullest potential. We view sport as a critical tool that helps develop better people.
Coach Nick and D’Crease instructors use Autonomous Supportive Coaching, which builds upon Self-Determination Theory to promote maximum performance. We want our goaltenders to feel:
